Association of Sworn Translators and Interpreters of Catalonia
(Associació de Traductors Jurats de Catalunya)

The Association of Sworn Translators and Interpreters of Catalonia was founded in 1992 to bring together professionals in the field of sworn translation and interpreting. Throughout its history it has promoted the profession before the administrative authorities. Initially founded only for people who practised in Catalonia, nowadays, due to the lack of referents of the associative network in the rest of the autonomous communities, members from all the autonomous communities are admitted.

Sworn Translators in Spain

This association of sworn translators is made up of professional linguists who translate from Catalan / Spanish or into Catalan / Spanish. Its translators are certified by an official Spain official agency or department.

This type of service is usually required for the translation of official documents, notarial deeds, patents, contracts, company statutes or academic certificates to be submitted before an agency, court or academic institution.

The current Spanish association of sworn translators is located in Barcelona (Spain) and the translations signed by its members are acknowledged and officially accepted in Spain and other countries.
