Literary Translator in Polish

Literary translation from or into Polish consists in the translation of works of literature and therefore can be the most creative and challenging of all translation jobs. There are several aspects that differentiate it from other types of translation, since literature allows us to exchange experiences and ideas, develops the aesthetic sense, transmits values and is an infinite source of entertainment.

Literary translators of  Polish usually belong to writers’ associations, or to a section of an association for Poles translators in general. Literary translation from or into Polish has usually more freedom to go away from the original text, to adapt cultural references and sometimes to add or eliminate certain aspects of the original version.

This association includes for the most part translators who translate from a foreign language into Polish. It is based in  Warsaw (Poland) and its professionals are focused on Poles readers and on Polish culture.
